JUDGMENT

[1]The complaint of unauthorised deductions from wages is well-founded. The respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the claimant's wages due in December 2023, in April 2023.[2]The respondent shall pay the claimant £2,135.60, which is the gross sum deducted. The claimant is responsible for the payment of any tax or National Insurance.[3]The complaint of unfair dismissal is well-founded. The claimant was unfairly dismissed.[4]The complaint of direct race discrimination is well founded and succeeds. The respondent shall pay to the claimant compensation for injury to feelings in the sum of £5,000.
