Mr K Gilbert v The Festive Decorators (UK) Ltd: 2402419/2024
JUDGMENT
Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]The claim was issued in the Employment Tribunal on 20 April 2024. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The parties agree that the respondent owes the claimant sums for unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages. The parties agree that the claimant owes the respondent £500.[3]The respondent’s accountant calculated the sums owing to the claimant as being £1771.09 net of tax. The respondent does not dispute this sum. The claimant agrees that £500 is to be deducted from this sum before it is paid to him.[4]The respondent must therefore pay the claimant £1271.09 in total.[5]The hearing listed on 5 August 2024 is cancelled.
