JUDGMENT

[1]The claimant’s claim of indirect age discrimination and discrimination contrary to the Fixed Term Employees (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002 are dismissed on withdrawal by the claimant.[2]The claimant’s claim of unfair dismissal and discrimination contrary to the Part Time Workers (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2000 are well-founded and succeed.[3]The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant compensation as follows:(1) A basic award in the amount of £1,215; and(2) A compensatory award in the amount of £3,003 comprising compensation for loss of statutory rights in the amount of £350 and compensation for loss of income for eight weeks in the amount of £2,653.[4]The figures provided are based upon an agreement between the parties regarding the amount of a week’s pay for the claimant.
