JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant’s unauthorised deduction from wages claim fails and is dismissed.[2]The deductions made by the respondent from the claimant’s wages for the period from 11 December 2020 onwards were on account of an overpayment of wages and were therefore authorised deductions falling within section 14 of the Employment Rights Act 1996.[3]From 5 October 2020, the claimant received an amount of pay per hour at the rate properly payable to him and there was therefore no deduction of wages within section 13(3) of the Employment Rights Act 1996.
