Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21 The time for presenting a response having expired and no valid response having been presented by the respondent, it is the judgment of the tribunal that:[1]The claimant’s complaint of unauthorised deduction from wages is well-founded and succeeds. The respondent unlawfully deducted, in total the sum of £1,885.00 (gross) from the wages due to the claimant. This is made up in respect of 208 hours worked in September, and 110 hours worked in October 2016, at £7.50 per hour, in total £2,385.00, less £500 paid. The respondent is ordered to pay the claimant the said sum of £1,885.00, subject to the appropriate deductions for tax and national insurance.[2]The respondent is ordered to pay the said sum to the claimant, together with the tribunal fee of £160.00 paid by the claimant.[3]The hearing listed for 10 May 2017 is cancelled.
