JUDGMENT

[1]The claimant’s claim for unauthorised deduction from wages is well founded and succeeds.[2]The claimant was employed under a verbal contract of employment the terms of which were recorded in a document sent to the claimant but not yet signed. She was entitled to wages at the rate of £ 14 per hour for a 40 hour working week giving an annual gross salary of £ 29 120 and a daily gross rate of £ £79.78. Her employment began on 14 December 2020 and was terminated on 11 January 2021.[3]The claimant is due reimbursement of £45 fee she paid to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service check for the respondent.[4]The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant 27 days wages x £ 79.78 = £ 2154.08 plus £ 45 fee, being £ 2199.08
