JUDGMENT

The claimant's case is dismissed due to the non-attendance of the claimant.

REASONS

[1]The final hearing in this matter was listed with a start time of 10.00am. The claimant arrived at the Tribunal premises at approximately 9.40am and was presented with the respondent’s bundle of documents. The claimant then appeared to leave the Tribunal premises.[2]After the time for the commencement of the hearing had passed, the claimant had still not returned to the Tribunal premises. The Tribunal administration telephoned the claimant’s mobile phone number twice in an attempt to locate her and made an announcement over the tannoy in the Hearing Centre for her to return to the Tribunal. Case No. 2400122/2019[3]The Tribunal postponed the start of the hearing until 10.25am. At this point, the claimant had not returned to the Tribunal premises.[4]The hearing proceeded in her absence. The claimant's case was dismissed because the case was not being actively pursued by her due to her non-attendance.
