JUDGMENT
[1]The claim for redundancy payment is dismissed upon withdrawal.[2]The claim of unlawful deduction of wages (18 hours’ pay) is well-founded and the claimant is awarded £288, subject to deductions for tax and National Insurance, to be paid by the respondent to the claimant.[3]The Tribunal declares that the complaint that Respondent has failed to comply with s188 is well-founded and exercises its discretion to make a protective award in respect of the employees who were dismissed by the respondent by reason of the closure of Barham House and orders that the respondent pay remuneration for the protected period of 6 weeks.[4]The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant £3,456 (£576 x 6).
