Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]The claim was issued in the London South Employment Tribunals on 15 December 2022. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy and is entitled to a redundancy payment of £2,087.10.[3]This is based on the following: the effective date of termination of 30 November 2022, at age 66, 9 complete years of service, a multiplier of 1.5 week for each year of service aged over 22 to 41 years old and a gross weekly pay at the then statutory maximum of £571.00.[4]The respondent must pay the claimant £2,087.10 in total.[5]The hearing listed on 17 May 2023 is cancelled.
