JUDGMENT

After hearing evidence from the Claimant and in the absence of the Respondent (but taking into account the Response and a written submission dated 16 February 2018) it is the unanimous decision of the tribunal that:[1]The claim for breach of contract succeeds and the Claimant is awarded damages in relation to notice pay, in the amount of £4600 (gross) representing one month’s lost salary.[2]The claim for direct discrimination because of the protected characteristic of age does not succeed and is dismissed.
