JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant’s claim for unlawful deduction of wages is well-founded and the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant £494, subject to appropriate deductions for tax and National Insurance.[2]In addition the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant £123.50 (a 25% uplift as the respondent unreasonably breached the ACAS Code of Practice in respect of the claimant’s grievance,[3]The total to be paid to the claimant is £617.50, subject to the tax and national insurance deductions due on the sum of £494 above.
