JUDGMENT

[1]The complaint of unauthorised deductions from pay contrary to Part II Employment Rights Act 1996 in respect of wages from 1 to 18 December 2023 is well-founded. The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the gross sum of £1,439 (which is the claimant’s weekly gross wage of £654 multiplied by 2.2 weeks).[2]The complaint of breach of contract in relation to one week’s statutory notice pay is well-founded. The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the gross sum of £654 (which is the claimant’s weekly gross wage).[3]The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant the gross sum of £2,093 (£1,439 plus £654).[4]The claimant’s complaints of breach of contract for expenses (in relation to his safety boots and spirit level) and holiday pay are dismissed following withdrawal by the claimant.
