JUDGMENT
(1) The claimant is awarded £1835 for unauthorised deductions from his salary in October and November 2018. (The gross total was £2481 for October and up to 23 November 2018 less £646 for holidays taken in excess of his statutory entitlement).(2) The claimant did not appear but had emailed in today requesting a postponement on the grounds of his illness over the last few weeks. The Tribunal did not have any further details or medical evidence in support. The claimant had not contacted the Tribunal before 19 December. The Tribunal also noted the previous hearing in this case had also been postponed. The Tribunal concluded it was proportionate to proceed in the claimant’s absence.
