JUDGMENT
[1]The claim was issued in the London South Employment Tribunals on 22 March 2023. The respondent has informed the tribunal by email dated 10th June 2023 that they do not intend to defend the claimant’s claim in relation to a failure to pay a statutory redundancy payment. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy and is entitled to a redundancy payment of £13,418.50.[3]The respondent must pay the claimant £13,418.50 in total.[4]The hearing listed on 29 September 2023 is cancelled.[5]The remainder of the claim, having been withdrawn by the claimant, is dismissed under Rule 52 of the Rules contained in Schedule 1 of the Employment Tribunals (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) Regulations 2013.
