Ms A Boahene v International Planned Parenthood Federation: 2300481/2019

EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
Case No 2300481/2019
Ms A BoaheneClaimantInternational Planned Parenthood FederationRespondent
Employment Judge WrightDate 8 October 2020

JUDGMENT

The claim is struck out.

REASONS

[1]Further to the Notice to the parties following the hearing on 14/7/2020 and despite the fact the claimant sent an email to the Tribunal on 11/8/2020 at 00:00, the Tribunal does not have jurisdiction to hear the claimant’s claim as the claimant did not engage in early conciliation via Acas prior to presenting her claim. The reasons are set out in the Notice to the parties.[2]The claimant’s written submissions did not explain why, on her case, the requirements of early conciliation did not apply.[3]Finally, the date for compliance by the claimant was ‘before’ the 11/8/2020, not on the 11/8/2020.
