JUDGMENT

[1]The claim was presented in the London South Employment Tribunal on 9 January 2025. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 22 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy and is entitled to a redundancy payment of £14,817.29 and is calculated as follows: The claimant worked for the respondent for 18 years and his weekly pay was £644.23. The claimant was aged 51 on the date he was made redundant and is therefore entitled to 1.5 weeks redundancy pay for each year he worked for the respondent.[3]The respondent must pay the claimant £14,817.29 in total.[4]The hearing listed on 15 May 2025 is cancelled.
