JUDGMENT
The Claimant’s allegation that the Respondent subjected him to the following detriment on the ground that he has made a protected disclosure: i. between 26 September 2023 and 30 November 2023, the Respondent allegedly delaying the outcomes of the Claimant’s grievances and redundancy appeal is struck out. .REASONS
[1]Following a preliminary hearing held on 6 February 2025, the claimant was ordered to pay a deposit of £250 for each of the four allegations in the claim (4 x £250 = £1,000), not later than 21 days from the date the Deposit Order was sent to him, as a condition of being permitted to continue to advance those allegations.[2]The claimant was ordered that if he wished to continue to pursue some allegations but not the others, he should state which allegations he wished to continue to pursue, and which had been abandoned.[3]The Order was sent to the claimant on 13 February 2025.[4]On 4 March 2025, the claimant wrote to the Tribunal stating that the first allegation had been withdrawn (“under protest”). He sent a cheque for £750. Therefore, the claimant has failed to pay a deposit of £250 for the first allegation, which allegation is therefore struck out under rule 40(4) of the Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024.
