JUDGMENT

[1]No response has been presented by the respondent to either claim. This is despite the claims having been served on the respondent and the tribunal subsequently emailing the respondent on an email address provided by the claimants to enquire whether the respondent was defending the claims (to which there has been no reply).[2]The claimant’s complaints of unlawful deduction from wages succeed, pursuant to rule 21 of the Employment Tribunal Rules 2013.[3]The following awards are made, payable by the respondent to the respective claimants:a. To Mr Mahmood: £1,147.50 (gross) (being 85 hours unpaid wages at £13.50 per hour); andb. To Mr Ejaz: £729 (gross) (being 54 hours unpaid wages at £13.50 per hour).
