The Defendant must pay the Claimant £7259.56 by 14/8/23.REASONS
The Respondent did not defend the claim and sent a recent email admitting that he owed money to the Claimant. I heard evidence on oath from the Claimant and was referred to her employment contract which she had entered into with the Respondent personally, because as per that contract the term “WS Advisory Group” was the Respondent’s personal trading name. The Claimant was employed by the Respondent from 20/2/23 to 31/3/23 but was not paid by him. He owes the Claimant salary of £5047.54 plus commission of £1865.86 plus holiday pay of £346.16. I disallowed the Claimant’s claims to interest which cannot be awarded in a claim such as this in the E. I also disallowed the claim for preparation time as the Respondent did not act unreasonably in relation to the litigation. J S Burns
