JUDGMENT
[1]No response to the claim has been presented. Pursuant to Rule 21 of the Employment Tribunal Rules 2013, the claimant’s claim for a statutory redundancy payment therefore succeeds.[2]Further information has been requested from the claimant to enable the tribunal to calculate the amount of the redundancy payment.[3]The hearing set for 5 March 2021 is therefore vacated and will not take place.[1]A judgment on liability under Rule 21 of the Employment Tribunal Rules 2013 was issued by the tribunal, pursuant to which the claimant’s claim for a statutory redundancy payment succeeded.[2]Further information was requested from the claimant to enable the tribunal to calculate the amount of the redundancy payment. The claimant duly provided this.[3]The amount of the statutory redundancy payment due, and which the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant, is £2,609.16.[4]This is calculated by multiplying the claimant’s average weekly pay of £434.86 by 4 complete years’ continuous employment by the factor of 1.5 on account of the claimant’s age at the time he was dismissed.
