JUDGMENT
[1]The Second Claimant is joined under Rule 34 of Sch 1 of the 2013 Rules.[2]The Respondent shall pay the First Claimant £888 plus £50 preparation time total £938.[3]The Respondent shall pay the Second Claimant £888 plus £50 preparation time.REASONS
The Respondent has shown no interest in defending and did not attend today. I heard evidence from both Claimants on oath. As their claims were identical and as Mr Okoli had been referred to in Mr Ekwem’s ETI, I decided that it was in the interest of justice to join Mr Okoli’s claim. The Claimants were employed on a construction site working at the rate of £18.50 per hour. They worked on 5/7/2018 and were paid for that. They then worked on 9-14 July 2018 inclusive but were not paid for that in the sum of £888 each. In addition they have both incurred time wastage which I assess at £50 each through their having to pursue these claims which are undefended. Case number 2206764/2018 4/04/2019
