Mr D Genov v Ricoh Site Solutions Ltd: 2206721/2018
JUDGMENT
The Respondent shall pay the Claimant £918.75REASONS
There was no Response or appearance by the Respondent. I heard evidence from the Claimant and was shown his calculations. The Claimant was employed by the Respondent to work at two sites in London as a painter and decorator. The hourly rate was £15 per hour and after 5pm the rate was £22.50 per hour. The Claimant worked 50 hours before 5pm and 7.5 hrs after 5pm in August and September 2018 but was not paid by the Respondent. Hence he is due 50 x £15 = £750 plus 7.5 x £22.50 = £168.75 TOTAL £918.75 Note The Claimant complained that Mr Ricky Cohen, a director of the Respondent, systematically set up or acted through companies which did not pay their employees. I informed the Claimant that if he had evidence that Ricky Cohen was the true employer or should be held to be so on the basis of piercing the corporate veil then having obtained Mr Cohen’s address he could apply to the Tribunal on notice to Mr Cohen to add Mr Cohen as a further Respondent. 12/03/2019
