JUDGMENT

[1]The claims of unfair dismissal and entitlement to a redundancy payment are dismissed because the claimant has insufficient qualifying service.[2]The respondent breached the claimant’s contract of employment by failing to give him 2 weeks’ notice of termination of employment. The respondent is ordered to pay the claimant, without deduction of tax, £668.54, net.[3]The respondent made unlawful deductions from the claimant’s wages as set out below, which the respondent is ordered to pay to the Case Number 2206365/2018 claimant on net basis, without deduction of tax:a. in respect of his pay for the period from 1 to 7 August 2018, £334.27b. a ‘tronc’ payment for July 2018 of £128;c. in respect of 12 days, or 2.4 weeks’ accrued but untaken holiday, of £802.25, again net.[4]The total award (2 and 3) is therefore £1,933.06 net, with no deduction for taxes.
