JUDGMENT
[1]No response to the claim has been presented. This is despite, in addition to serving the claim at the respondent’s address initially, the tribunal having obtained an email address for the respondent from the claimant and having sent the respondent a follow up email on 27 August 2021, to which it received no response from the respondent.[2]Pursuant to Rule 21 of the Employment Tribunal Rules 2013, the claimant’s complaint of unfair deduction from wages succeeds.[3]An award of £635.20 (net) is made (in respect of 8 days’ unpaid wages), payable by the respondent to the claimant.[4]The hearing set for 8 September 2021 is therefore vacated and will not take place.
