JUDGMENT

Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]By a claim form presented on 16 March 2023, the claimant brought a claim for unlawful deduction from wages and breach of contract. The respondent failed to present a response. The Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The name of the respondent is amended from ‘Inglemoss Consultants’ to ‘Inglemoss Ltd, trading as Inglemoss Consultants’.[3]The respondent made unlawful deductions from the claimant’s wages and is ordered to pay to the claimant the gross sum of £4,666.66, in respect of the amount unlawfully deducted.[4]The respondent was in breach of contract by failing to pay the claimant expenses. The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £487.88, being damages for the breach of contract.
