[1]No response to the claim has been presented. This is despite the claim not only having been served on the respondent but also the tribunal having emailed the respondent on 21 June 2022 (at email addresses supplied by the claimant at the tribunal’s request), to which there has been no reply from the respondent.[2]Pursuant to Rule 21 of the Employment Tribunal Rules 2013, therefore, the claimant’s complaints of unlawful deduction from wages succeed.[3]An award of £2,592 (gross) is made, payable by the respondent to the claimant, which comprises 24 days’ unpaid wages in September and October 2021.[4]The hearing set for 29 June 2022 has therefore been therefore vacated and will not take place. 28 June 2022
