REASONS

[1]The claimant presented claims for unfair dismissal, redundancy payment and unpaid wages. The respondent was advised not to respond except to the unpaid wages claim.[2]The response was due on 29 May 2021. No response has been filed.[3]The claimant worked for the respondent for 10 days from 16 December 2020, the day she as interviewed and taken on, in all 84.5 hours at £8.72 per hour. They remain unpaid, as confirmed by her in a message on 21 June 2021.[4]Having regard to rule 21, this judgment is issued in default of the response. The hearing listed for 6 and 7 September will not take place.[5]The claimant also asked for compensation for the time she has had to wait to be paid. The employment tribunal does not have power to order interest to be paid on claims (unless for discrimination) until judgment is given, but the claimant is entitled to interest at 8% per annum from the date of judgment. 10.2 Judgment - rule 61 Case No: 2201623/21
