JUDGMENT

[1]The Respondent has made a deduction (or more than one) from the Claimant’s wages in contravention of section 13 Employment Rights Act 1996 (“ERA 1996”), and is ordered to pay him the sum of £1,726.20 in that regard.[2]The Claimant has sustained financial loss in the amount of £103.16 attributable to the unlawful deductions from his wages. The Respondent is accordingly ordered to pay to the Claimant the further sum of £103.16, pursuant to section 24(2) ERA 1996.[3]The total payable to the Claimant by the Respondent is £1,829.36, without deduction.
