She was summarily dismissed in circumstances where she was entitled to notice to bring her contract of employment to an end.[2]The respondent shall pay a redundancy payment to the claimant in the sum of £2,231.51. At the effective date of termination of the contract of employment the claimant was 42 years of age and had worked for the respondent for six years. Her gross weekly wage was £318.79.[3]The respondent shall pay to the claimant compensation for wrongful dismissal. Her net weekly pay was £279.85. Compensation for wrongful dismissal shall be paid in the sum of £1,489.10 calculated as follows: 6 weeks’ notice entitlement x £279.85 net per week £1,679.10.
