JUDGMENT

[1]By consent, the claimant was at the material time (which is on or around 10 August 2022) a disabled person within the meaning of section 6 of the Equality Act 2010 by reason of autism.[2]The claimant’s claim that the respondent subjected him to unfavourable treatment for something arising in consequence of the disability referred to in paragraph 1 at the material time (and which claim is brought pursuant to sections 15 and 39(1)(a) of the 2010 Act) succeeds.[3]The respondent shall pay to the claimant compensation for injury to the claimant’s feelings consequent upon the discrimination as found and referred to in paragraph 2 in the sum of £1200.[4]Pursuant to the Employment Tribunals (Interest on Awards in Discrimination Cases) Regulations 1996 it is just and equitable to include interest upon the award in paragraph 3. The respondent shall pay to the claimant the sum of £76 calculated upon the basis of an interest rate of 8% which is the rate prescribed in the 1996 Regulations, such interest to run from 10 August 2022.
