JUDGMENT

Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]The claim was issued in the North East Region Employment Tribunals on 2 December 2021. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim, or part of it, in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The respondent has made unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages and must pay the claimant £282.80 gross (i.e. the approximate equivalent of £239.89 net).[3]The respondent must pay the claimant £282.80 gross in total.[4]The hearing listed on 27 January 2022 is cancelled. NOTES[1]The claimant emailed the Tribunal on 13 January 2022 stating that she had received a part payment of £1300 in relation to her claim for £1539.89 net.[2]The Tribunal has calculated the claimant’s gross award of £282.80 on the basis of her October 2021 payslip.
