EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS
Case No 1805585/2018
Miss H MatthewsClaimantPremier Care DirectRespondent
Employment Judge CoxDate 8 August 2018

JUDGMENT

The Respondent shall pay the Claimant £3 in respect of bank charges incurred as a result of the unauthorized deduction it made from her wages.

REASONS

Section 24 (2) of the Employment Rights Act empowers the Tribunal to award the Claimant such amount as it considers appropriate to compensate her for any financial loss sustained which is attributable to an unauthorized deduction from wages. The Claimant has sustained bank charges of £3. The other matters for which she claims in her email of 6 July 2018 do not fall within this provision and the Tribunal has no power to compensate for them.
