JUDGMENT

The Claimant was unfairly dismissed and the Respondent is ordered to pay to her the sum of £1954.51 as compensation for unfair dismissal (comprising of a basic award of £759.38 and a compensatory award of £1195.13). The Claimant was dismissed in breach of contract and the Respondent is ordered to pay to her damages in the sum of £506.25. The Claimant’s complaint of unauthorised deductions from wages succeeds and the Respondent is ordered to pay to her the gross amounts of £156.88 in respect of her unpaid wages (including the amount of £50.00 in respect of the Claimant working a week ‘in hand’ as agreed by the Respondent) and £272.55 in respect of accrued holiday pay. Pursuant to Section 38 of the Employment Act 2002 (failure to provide written statement of employment particulars) the Respondent is ordered to pay to the Claimant the additional sum of £337.50
