Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]The claim was issued in the Leeds Employment Tribunals on 4 April 2023. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time. I have decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim in accordance with rule 21 of the Employment Tribunal Rules of Procedure.[2]North Star Investment Management Limited is substituted as the correct respondent to the claim. Upon representations made by the claimant, I am satisfied North Star Investment Management Limited was his employer. I am also satisfied that the claim has come to the attention of North Star Investment Management Ltd because it was served on “North Star” at the registered office of North Star Investment Management Ltd.[3]The claimant was dismissed in breach of contract in respect of notice and the respondent must pay damages to the claimant of £2000. The claimant will be responsible for the payment of any tax or national insurance.[4]The hearing listed 30 May 2023 is cancelled.
