JUDGMENT
[1]The respondent did not present a response to the claim. The respondent did not attend the hearing, apply for a postponement or apply for written representations to be taken into account. The Tribunal was unable to connect to the respondent’s telephone number on the day of the hearing. Accordingly the claim proceeded in the respondent's absence.[2]The respondent was in breach of contract by dismissing the claimant without notice. The respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the gross sum of £380, being damages for breach of contract. This sum is subject to applicable deductions for tax and employee national insurance contributions.[3]The respondent made an unauthorised deduction from the claimant's wages and is ordered to pay to the claimant the gross sum of £1,909.04, in respect of the amount unlawfully deducted. This sum is subject to applicable deductions for tax and employee national insurance contributions.
