JUDGMENT
[1]The correct title of the Respondent is GDPR Sentry Limited.[2]By consent it is ordered that the Respondent shall pay the Claimant the sum of £1,200 within seven days of 17 April 2019 in respect of the claim for notice pay.REASONS
[1]This was a case where the Claimant was claiming one month’s pay in lieu of notice and the Respondent was resisting it.[2]The Tribunal was shown correspondence but no evidence was given by the parties.[3]It was clear on a peripheral perusal of the correspondence that both sides would have to give evidence and that there would be a conflict on the evidence and a point of law involved.[4]In order to save the parties time, after twenty-five minutes the Tribunal suggested to the parties that a better way of disposing of this matter would be for the parties to effect a compromise. Case No. 1800666/19[5]The parties agreed and in a very short time reached agreement as set out in the judgment.
