JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy on 23 August 2019.[2]He is therefore entitled to a statutory redundancy payment of £7,087.50 calculated at:• 9 years x 1½ (over 41yrs of age); multiplied by• £525[3]In breach of contract, the respondent failed to give the claimant notice of the termination of his employment or make a payment in lieu thereof. The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant damages in the sum of 9 weeks’ net pay calculated at 9 x £605.70 i.e. £5,451.30. The total amount the respondent must pay to the claimant is therefore £12,538.80. Case Number: 1601661 / 2019
