JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy on 23 August 2019.[2]He is therefore entitled to a statutory redundancy payment of £4,725 calculated at:• 6 years x 1½ (over 41yrs of age); multiplied by• £525[3]In breach of contract, the respondent failed to give the claimant notice of the termination of her employment or make a payment in lieu thereof. The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant damages in the sum of 6 weeks’ net pay calculated at 6 x £579.65, i.e. £3,477.90. The total amount the respondent must pay to the claimant is therefore £8,202.90.
