JUDGMENT
[1]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy on 23 August 2019.[2]She is therefore entitled to a statutory redundancy payment of £5,512.50 calculated at:• 3 years x 1 (under 41yrs of age); and• 5 years x 1½ (over 41yrs of age); multiplied by• £525[3]In breach of contract, the respondent failed to give the claimant notice of the termination of her employment or make a payment in lieu thereof. The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant damages in the sum of 12 weeks’ net pay calculated at 12 x £598.26, i.e. £7,7179.12. The total amount the respondent must pay to the claimant is therefore £12,691.62.
