JUDGMENT

Having heard evidence on oath from Mr Blakemore, the judgment of the tribunal is that:[1]The claimant was dismissed by reason of redundancy on 30 November 2018. He is therefore entitled to a statutory redundancy payment, calculated at 20.5 years x £380 i.e. £7,790.[2]Time for bringing a breach of contract claim is extended.[3]In breach of contract, the respondent failed to give the claimant notice of the termination of his employment or make a payment in lieu thereof. The respondent is therefore ordered to pay the claimant damages in the sum of 11 weeks’ net pay x £315 i.e. £3,465.[4]The total amount the respondent must pay to the claimant is therefore £11,255.
