JUDGMENT

[1]The complaints by all of the claimants, that the first respondent failed to comply with the provisions of section 188(1) of the Trade Union & Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 to consult with appropriate representatives of affected employees, are well-founded and succeed.[2]The first respondent is ordered to pay a protective award to all of the claimants named in the attached schedule, each of whom has standing to bring a claim, and each of whom was formerly employed at the first respondent’s establishment at Unit 6, Waverley Road, Beeches Industrial Estate, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5QT.[3]The protected period began on 30 August 2024, when the first of the dismissals took effect, and is for a period of 90 days.
