Employment Judge RoperDate 23 July 2021

JUDGMENT

The claim is struck out.

REASONS

[1]The claimant was ordered to pay a deposit of £500 following a preliminary hearing held on 31 March 2021. The Order was sent to the claimant on 6 April 2021.[2]On 9 June 2021 the tribunal wrote to the parties as follows “The REJ notes that the deposit ordered by EJ Roper on 31 March 2021 has not been paid by the claimant, and the Tribunal does not appear to have received any application from the claimant to amend the claim. In the circumstances REJ Pirani has decided to vacate the hearing listed for 10 June 2021 and proposes to strike out the claim if no objection is received within 14 days of today’s date”[3]The claimant has failed to pay this deposit. The claim is therefore struck out under rule 39(4) of the Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013.
