Mr C Charman v Stark Building Materials UK Ltd (T/a ‘Jewson’): 1402470/2024
JUDGMENT
The complaints of sex discrimination and discrimination based on religion or belief are struck out.REASONS
[1]By a letter dated 6 February 2025 the Tribunal gave the claimant an opportunity to make representations or to request a hearing, as to why the complaint of sex discrimination and discrimination based on religion or belief should not be struck out because the claimant had not sufficiently complied with the direction of the Tribunal dated 6 February 2025 to confirm which of proposals a-d are being pursued as legal claims. A further opportunity was given to the claimant on 18 March 2025 for which no reply was received.[2]Those claims cannot therefore be sensibly responded to by the respondent.[3]The claimant has failed to make sufficiently clear representations in writing, why this should not be done or to request a hearing. The complaint of sex discrimination and discrimination based on religion or belief are therefore struck out.[4]The claimant’s remaining claim(s) remains listed for hearing on 7 July 2025. Approved by:
