JUDGMENT
The Claimant’s response to part of the Respondent’s employer’s counterclaim is struck out and the Respondent is awarded £7,000 in respect of that part.REASONS
[1]At a Preliminary Hearing which took place on 18 March 2019, Employment Judge Matthews ordered the Claimant to pay a deposit of £250 in order to pursue his defence in respect of part of the Respondent’s employer’s counterclaim which concerned a £7,000 loan.[2]In an email dated 10 April 2019, the Claimant indicated that he no longer wished to defend the claim from which it was understood that he was not to have paid the deposit order.[3]Judgment has been entered accordingly. The balance of the claim and counterclaim proceeds in accordance with the Case Management Summary and Order of 18 March 2019.
