UPON the Respondent failing to attend or to be represented at the hearing, AND UPON first considering the information available, the tribunal refuses the Respondent’s application for an extension of time to present its response under Rule 47 of the Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013, and[1]The Claimant’s claim for unfair dismissal succeeds.[2]The Respondent is to pay to the Claimant the following: i. A Basic Award amounting to £1,524 (based on the Claimant having 2 years of complete service x 1.5 (as the Claimant was aged 45 at the date of dismissal (23/1/19)) x £508). ii. A Compensatory Award amounting to £9,139.77
