JUDGMENT

(1) The claimant’s race discrimination complaint fails.

(2) The claimant’s age discrimination complaint succeeds and she is awarded, and the respondent must pay her, a total sum of £5,957.47, made up of £5,500 for injury to feelings and £457.47 for lost earnings, on a loss-of-a-chance basis.

(3) Reasons were given orally at the hearing. Written reasons will not be provided unless they are asked for by a written request presented by any party within 14 days of the sending of the written record of the decision.
