JUDGMENT

[1]The respondent shall pay compensation to the claimant of £25,014.94 as compensation for unlawful discrimination, inclusive of interest.

[2]The recoupment provisions do not apply. Calculation Awards under Equality Act 2010

[1]Loss of earnings £3,643.64 25 July 2021 to 1 November 2021 (14 weeks) x £260.26 (agreed average weekly pay)

[2]Interest on loss of earnings £549.43 £3,643.64 x 688 (number of days from the mid-point day referred to in paragraph 3.b) x 0.08 (8%) x 1/365 (daily calculation).

[3]Injury to Feelings £16,000

[4]Interest on Injury to Feelings £4,821.87 £16,000 x 1375 (number of days from the date of dismissal referred to in paragraph 3.a) x 0.08 (8%) x 1/365 (daily calculation). Total £25,014.94 3. We award interest at 8%.a. On the award for injury to feelings, we have calculated this from the date of dismissal, 25 July 2021 until today, 30 April 2025, a period of 1375 days.

b. On the award for financial loss, we have calculated this from the midpoint between the dismissal date and today, namely 12 June 2025, which is a period of 688 days.
