JUDGMENT

Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure 2013 – Rule 21[1]The claim was issued in the Midlands (West) Employment Tribunals on 13 May 2022 and was sent to the respondent, to its registered office address, on 17 May 2022. The respondent has failed to present a valid response on time and has not responded to a letter from the Tribunal of 13 July 2022 warning it that rule 21 applied and that a judgment might be issued. The Employment Judge has decided that a determination can properly be made of the claim in accordance with rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure.[2]The respondent made unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages and must pay him the amount of those deductions: £672.00[3]The respondent has throughout the claimant’s employment, from 23 September 2021, failed to provide him with written itemised pay statements in accordance with section 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996. The particulars that ought to have been included in the missing pay statements were gross pay of £240 per week.[4]The hearing on 11 August 2022 is cancelled.
